osage x indigo over-dyed

We love experimenting with combining natural dyes to achieve truly unique shades.   

We first used Osage Orange which comes from a tree in middle America and usually achieves a cheerful yellow shade.

We then let it sit for a few days and then over-dyed it with Indigo which is one of the oldest dye methods in the world. Our indigo is sourced from a farm in South India. 

The color created is a beautiful rich blueish- green and pure perfection.
