walnut

We have spent several months trying to achieve a true taupe color in various shades of light and dark, and of all the botanicals, walnut was the one!  Walnut trees are native to North America and the dye comes directly from the fruit, as well as from the bark of the tree.  Walnut dyes require lots of patience, but the results are well worth it!
